Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and CONEWER when you use CONEWER Wi-Fi, this website or the CONEWER app. By creating an account or connecting to CONEWER Wi-Fi, you agree to them. We've kept them short and plain.
1. The service
CONEWER sells internet access time ("hours") that you can use at CONEWER Wi-Fi hotspots in partner stores in the Philippines. CONEWER is run by Sagitta Technologies. The partner store provides the place and power; CONEWER provides the Wi-Fi service, your account and payments.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account. Children may use CONEWER Wi-Fi only with a parent or guardian who is responsible for their use.
- Your account is tied to your mobile number. Use a number you own and keep your details accurate.
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens in your account, including hours used or sent, unless someone got in through our fault. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
- One person, one account. Don't create accounts for others without their permission.
3. Buying hours
- Internet time costs ₱3 per hour unless the app shows a different price or a promo when you buy. The price shown before you pay is the price you pay.
- You can top up from ₱20 to ₱5,000 at a time with GCash, Maya, QR Ph or the other methods shown in the app. Payments are processed by PayMongo, and your e-wallet, bank or card provider's own terms also apply.
- Hours are added to your balance once the payment is confirmed. If you paid but the hours didn't arrive within a few minutes, contact us with your receipt and we'll sort it out.
- To let you pay while you're not yet online, the Wi-Fi login page can give you 10 free minutes of internet to finish a payment, up to 3 times a day. Those minutes are only for paying.
- Hours don't expire while your account is open.
- Printed CONEWER vouchers work the same way: a code gives the time printed on it, used on one device.
4. Using hours
- To use hours you must be at a CONEWER Wi-Fi hotspot. Choose how many hours (up to 24 at a time) and your device goes online right away. The countdown runs from that moment, whether or not you're actively browsing.
- Hours are for the device you connect. You can add more time to a device that's online, or stop it.
- Speed depends on the hotspot, the store's internet connection, how many people are online and your device. We don't promise a particular speed.
5. Refunds
- Unused whole hours come back automatically. If you tap Stop, or your device leaves the Wi-Fi and stays away for 15 minutes, every whole hour you didn't use goes back to your balance. Part of an hour that has started is used.
- Hours in your balance can't be turned back into cash, except where the law requires it.
- If you were charged twice, charged without getting hours, or a CONEWER fault left you without service, contact us. We'll check and give back the hours or the money.
- Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act 7394) or other law.
7. Fair use
You agree not to use CONEWER Wi-Fi or the app to:
- break any law, including the Cybercrime Prevention Act (Republic Act 10175), or infringe anyone's rights;
- share or access child sexual abuse material, or harass, threaten or defraud anyone;
- attack, scan, overload or try to break into the network, the hotspots, other users' devices or our systems;
- get around time limits or payments, for example by copying another device's address or misusing codes;
- use the free payment minutes for anything other than paying.
If you do, we may stop the session, suspend or close the account and, where required, report it to the authorities. Where it's fair to, we'll tell you why and give unused paid hours back.
8. Availability
- Hotspots work during the store's opening hours, while it has power and internet. Stores may close, move or leave the network.
- We work to keep the service running but can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may pause it for maintenance or repairs.
- The Wi-Fi is shared. Protect your own device and data, for example by using sites and apps that use encryption (HTTPS).
9. Liability
As far as the law allows, CONEWER isn't responsible for indirect losses (such as lost business or data) from using or not being able to use the Wi-Fi, or for content and services on the internet that we don't control. If we're responsible for a problem, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before it happened. This doesn't limit liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for fraud or gross negligence.
10. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time; see Delete your account. Unused hours are lost when an account is deleted, so use them or send them first. We may close an account that breaks these terms, as described in Fair use.
11. Changes and the law
We may update these terms, for example when prices or features change. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app before they apply. Hours you already bought keep the terms they were bought under. These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines.
How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
